What’s behind the windows? Looking inside New York finest apartments.

For yours I've been answering the questions, "You live in New York City? Like, right in New York City?" I live in Brooklyn Heights, but this is a distinction meaningful only to those with 100-zip codes prefixes.

Elizabeth Groove
My BAE and I where hitting back to the hotel when we saw the sign:

               “Today, Open House!”

She looked at me and before I knew it, we were inside the lobby of this gorgeous building.

               ‘Just play along…’ she whispered.

Holding that day shopping bags I smiled to the concierge while she said:

‘Hi, we’re here for the open house. My friend and I are visiting and we are on a mission. A real estate mission.’

I don’t know how she does it, but she always gets her way! It’s not just flirting, it’s more living the story. Anyway, the lovely man called upstairs.  The open house was closed for the day.

We didn’t get to see a real New York appartment. But we at least tried! Okay, okay, she tried! I just stood there and smiled :).

For below video’s you don’t need to flirt or pretend to be real estate investors.

Just click and dream. Dreaming of these people living in real estate heaven…

The plaza

Did you know that you can be a residence in a luxury hotel like The Plaza? It’s room service 24/7 without the need to unpack your bags…Tommy Hilfiger will make you fall in love with master bedroom bars.

A magnolia tree just for you

Magnolia trees, my favorite! I love the 2 weeks in Spring when they bloom. Imagine having one of your own. In the West Village. Liv, honey, it doesn’t get better than yours!

Uptown we go

Traveling uptown all the way to Harlem for a complete different brownstone. Let’s celebrate Christmas with Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka.

before you enter...

Face it! Even luxurious condo’s have to be clever about storage. Turns out, it’s all about taking your shoes off with Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita.

Cross the bridge

I’ve always thought basketball is cool! So it comes to no surprise that the NBA player JJ Redick lives in an amazing Brooklyn warehouse. Cross the Brooklyn Bridge and again take your shoes off after running a lemon errand.

Kitchen in use!

I think Andrew Rea (Binging With Babish) is the only one so far who actually uses his kitchen. And not for keeping winter sweaters in the stove.

Strange things...

The strangest thing in this Manhattan getaway? A bookshelf with staircase. How very Beauty & The Beast of Stranger Things actor David Harbour.

Could you hand me that bowl?

One more American designer before we go to my all-time favorite New York person…MIchael Kors welcomes us in his Greenwich Village home. His favorite thing to make for dinner? Reservations…I hear you. I love how mister Kors has all this stories to tell.

my favorite...SJP

Last, but definitely not least. Born and raised New Yorker Sarah Jessica Parket answering 73 questions to Vogue. Showing her house, or actually just the family living room and good filled book case.

Which house was your favorite? Let me know in the comments!

Always in an Empire State of Mind,

xoxo,

B

Nice to meet you! I’m Birgit.
NYC addict, pink lover, Robbie Williams for ever ever, a bit of a Charlotte but always wondering what Blair would do, Sauvignon at the bar after the barre.
Welcome to my little piece of NYC heaven online. Let’s conquer these famous streets together.
