“I like to watch people. Sometimes I ride the subway all day and look at them and listen to them. I just want to figure out who they are and what they want and where they're going.”
It’s been forever since I’ve been in the City. Okay, okay, 2 years is not forever. But it feels like forever. Can’t wait for Europeans to be allowed back in the States.
Till then I read, I scroll, I watch, I listen, I consume. All the information I can find on my big love.
Here are a few of my favorites for you to indulge.
Heartwarming stories
One of my favorite things to do is people watching. All these characters strolling around the city. Each and everyone with their own story to tell. Very Humans of New York. If you don’t follow Brandon yet, run to Insta! Keep your Kleenex close. All stories make you feel ‘I”m not crying, you are’. Whether they warm or break your heart.
Did she really said that?!?
I spy
Another stuck-at-home-people-watching-experience is Earthcam. Not ideal to spot the latest designer shoes. But great to drool in front of your screen and miss the city a little less…or probably more…
BE NY is a must follow
Let me know in the comments how you stay up to date with the City!
Always in an Empire State of Mind,
xoxo,
B
PS: I’ve got one more treat for you up my sleeve! Joseph is working on a 30 year project. Yes, you read that right. 30 YEARS! he’s filming the New York skyline since July 11th 2015 and hasn’t stopped since. His account is a beautiful representation of an ever evolving city. The moving sky is as meditative as it’s addictive.
