The film served as a positive force and a motivator during a very dark time. I remember last year, like so many, being glued to the news and waking up to just horrific statistics with death tolls rising; but every time I’d listen to someone's story it would give me a bit of hope, even if it was only enough to make it through another day.
Voices from New York, a 4 minutes movie by Shelby Wilder gives an impression of NYC during Covid 19.
bitter sweet...
‘Tragic times are always bitter sweet’ says one of the interviewees in the movie. I couldn’t agree more with him. The last 12 months have turned the world upside down. And as a result my own little world too. My travel plans for NYC are in my drawer, not sure when I can take them out again.
Instead I discovered many hidden gems in my little town. I had the time to start this blog and I’ve spend more quality time with my children then the 9 years before combined…all while being distanced by family & friends.
We don’t know when and how we will come out of this. But remember NYC is not going anywhere!
I can’t wait to see how she has changed. How she will grow and rise from the ashes of this pandemic.
NYC is forever!
